One hundred volunteers and friends showed up for this year’s Volunteer Appreciation Dinner held Thursday, January 16th, at Europa Grill in Shrewsbury. This lively event brought together volunteer doctors, nurses, interpreters and other helpers with the PFHC core staff and Board members. John Horl, PFHC Board Co-Chair, followed by Dr. James McGuinness, PFHC Medical Director and Mary Nicosia, PFHC Clinic Director, all took turns thanking the volunteer group for their dedication and support over these past twenty years. The evening also provided the volunteers the opportunity to meet PFHC’s new executive director, Suzy Dyer. Special thanks to Louis Rodriguez, PFHC Board member, and his wife Roxy for sharing these wonderful photos.

Two winning baskets of cheer were awarded for best costumes, and a Downtown Gift Certificate went to the lucky winner of the business card drawing.

Held at the elite Navesink Country Club in Middletown, the PFHC Gala 2019 honored Jeremy Grunin, President of the Grunin Foundation and Grunin Holdings; Dr. Ken Grossman, local dermatologist and long time Parker Family supporter; and The Docs of Rock, a talented, philanthropic group of musicians /doctors. Proclamations and plaques were awarded to all the honorees by Parker Family Health Center’s Co-Chairs Gina Petillo and John Horl, and Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso. A live auction and presentation about the clinic’s successful diabetes program were followed up with lively music by Guilty Pleasures.

Held at the challenging Navesink Country Club in Middletown, this year’s golfers enjoyed a glorious day of sunshine, great food, and wonderful camaraderie. Tournament winners included the event’s honoree, John F. Lloyd, Retired Co-CEO at Hackensack Meridian, along with his partners Maureen Lloyd, and Peter and Dale Wegener, who all together won 1st Place for Mixed Foursome.
